The OptiMate 6 Ampmatic is a smart, fully automatic, 6A, 9-step, plug and play battery charger for motorcycle, car, ute, boat or camper. Designed for Lead-Acid (Pb), AGM and GEL (Sealed VRLA) batteries.
Ampmatic is an automatic ‘realtime’ adjustment of charge current to match battery size and condition – small battery gets less, large battery gets more. OptiMate Ampmatic models are ideal multipurpose chargers for all sizes of battery so you can look after the batteries of all of your vehicles using one charge/maintainer.
The charger features a fully automatic multi-step program that brings the battery safely to full charge. Simply connect the leads to the battery and the OptiMate 6 will do the rest. There is no risk of overcharging and it is totally safe for connected vehicle electronics. The battery charger unit is spark suppressed and will shut down automatically in the event of a short-circuit or if the battery is disconnected.
The 9-step charging processes adjusts to the type of battery connected and tests for the condition. It then starts charging, taking into account the voltage and cell condition before moving to optimisation. When the battery is fully charged, the charger switches to a maintenance to protect and extend the life of the battery.
The kit includes an SAE Weatherproof battery lead which can be permanently installed on your motorcycle for a quick connection when charging is required. Also included is a battery clip set for use directly on batteries and a hanging hook.
